Day 1: Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro Marangu Route
Transfer from Arusha town to Marangu Gate – Mandara hut 2700m
Hiking time: 5 hours.
Distance: About 12 km’s.
Habitat: Montane forest.

Distance: About 15 km’s.
Habitat: Moorland.
Elevation change: + 1020 m
Early within the morning after your breakfast you’ll starts climbing towards Horombo hut together with your picnic lunch. From Mandara hut the trail passes through a brief stretch of forest, then heads round the base of the Maundi Crater where you’ll leave the forest and enter the moorland.
