Day 1:
Take domestic flight to Zanzibar. When we arrive to Zanzibar transportation to the hotel will be provided and you will have time to relax in the hotel.
Day 2:
After the breakfast depart to Matemwe for Dolphins tour, where you will be able to chase large groups of dolphins using small speed boats. After Dolphins tour, we will visit the Jozani park. Jozani Forest is the largest area of indigenous forest on Zanzibar Island and is famously home to populations of Zanzibar red colobus monkey (an endangered species found only on Zanzibar) as well as other monkey species, bush babies and more than 40 species of birds as well as other, back to the hotel.
Day 3:
After breakfast depart for a full day Blue Safari Adventure. We will sail in a beautiful traditional wooden dhow, watch Dolphins (if we have a chance of seeing them) at play, snorkel over the reefs of Menai Bay conservation area, feast on a Swahili influenced seafood buffet. We will visit a Baobab tree believed to be more than 500 years old before sailing, back to hotel.
Day 4:
After breakfast depart for a full day Nungwi Cultural Tour. Nungwi is the name of a village at the northern part of Zanzibar Island. This part of the trip mainly focuses on Cultural village visit of the Nungwi Village. At Nungwi there are several very interesting things to see and do including, the natural aquarium, home to endangered sea turtles and a variety of fish. The aquarium itself is a natural formation carved out from the coral bedrock by the erosion of millions of waves crashing against the shore. In the afternoon, back to hotel.
Day 5:
After breakfast depart for the Spice Tour. Spices and herbs were originally introduced to Zanzibar by Portuguese traders in the 16th century, brought from their colonies in South America and India. This tour is a walking tour in a spice farm (shamba). While in there, you will get to see how the spices, herbs, and fruits are grown and cultivated. Your tour guide will describe how the crops can be used. You will be smelling and tasting spices, herbs, and tropical fruits such as clove, lemongrass, nutmeg, cinnamon, turmeric, vanilla, coconuts, papaya, chili, black pepper, jackfruit, cardamom, cassava and oranges.
Day 6:
Prison Island was formerly owned by an Arab and was privately used as a place of detention for disobedient slaves. It was built in 1893 as a central prison for Zanzibar, hence the name “Prison Island”. You will be able to see Giant Tortoises, Dik dik, Peacock, Prison Chamber, Mangrove Forest and perhaps swim and snorkel if interested. In the afternoon we will come back to Stone Town for Lunch (NOT INCLUDED). After lunch we will have another 2-3hrs to visit Zanzibar City. We will have a chance to visit the Town Markets, old slave markets, National Museum, High court building, Old German Consulate, Africa House (former English Club), Tippu
Tip House and Grave, Kele kele square, Old British Consulate, Orphanage home, Old Fort, Forodhani Gardens, House of Wonders, Sultan Palace, Dr. Livingstone House, St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Old Mosques, Freddie Mercury House, among others.
Day 7:
Rest time to relax in the hotel prior to transfer to the airport to take the flight .
